Surface analysis of gold on carbon

January 21, 2014

As part of the CAMIRO/MPD program associated with Surface Science Western for mineral surface analysis, Barrick has an interest in studying the causes and mechanisms by which gold adheres to the surfaces of carbonaceous materials. This study is to examine the behavior of gold on the surface of activated carbon used in processing Au ore.  Samples selected for this study were collected from the November 19th,2013 plant survey at Golden Sunlight mine in Montana.
